Treasure

“Yada yada hi dharmasya, glanir bhavati bharata,

Abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srujam yaham”

This is an inspiring shlok from “Bhagwad Gita”
How many of us even know the meaning of this? Well I dint know its COMPLETE meaning either.... Nor am I ashamed to admit the same.
A friend of mine who has got simply crazy about tattoos lately said that he would get this shlok tattooed on his body and I was taken aback .
I wondered why this young chap did not wanted some freaky/ nudey/seductive tattoo on his body. Well when I thought back realized, it was in his blood deep embedded; the cultural values instilled by his grandfather.

Gita gives you the ideal attitude you should possess to live and die in a really purposeful manner and to get lasting peace and bliss. Bhagwad Gita is not meant merely for people who are aged and mothers who are religious. It is definitely for each soul breathing and thinking on this earth.
It might sound insane to read and follow the learnings from these shloks. However the beauty of our life rests in our hand. How purposeful we make it. What impact we create about ourselves before we could leave this world. Our values and tradition can never go away from us. They are resting in our cells, breathing there silently, and they get evoked at such instances. Its upto people like you and me to decide until what time we keep these values alive!
No, I ain't telling you to follow these and live like saint. My aim was to make you realize for a few seconds, the kind of treasure we have inherited from our ancestors (in form of these values) and think of how much of this are we going to pass it on to our kids. I am sure each one of us would like our kids to be happy, prosperous and rich. So when are are you intending to learn and earn this treasure???
