Once upon a time...

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?"

The girl said, "NO!"

And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, camping, drank whole bottles of wine, always had a clean house, never had to cook, did whatever the hell she wanted, never argued, didn't get fat, traveled more, had many lovers, didn't save money, and had all the hot water to herself. She went to the theater, never watched sports, never wore fricken lacy lingerie that went up her arse, had high self esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous all the time.

THE END :D

Burn the calories not your health

People have been taking to numerous types of physical workouts varying from yoga, gym, aerobics, zumba dance classes, sports etc. On one hand while these can be a super catalyst to good health and sharp mind, when overdone or wrongly done these form of exercises can cause adverse effects.
Benefits Vs the Risks
The striking benefit that one can obtain from proper workout is not countable. Your body and mind not only stays under your control, it also promotes healthy social environment. Good metabolic rate, controlled weight as per age, increased flexibility, high levels of oxygen that in turn promotes sound body and beautiful skin, active brain, good levels of sleep, increased awareness and the list can go on.
So what can possibly be the risks that can be listed here??? To start with doing any of the physical exercises without proper knowledge or expert supervision might cause damage to your muscles, joints, bones etc. It’s best to opt for formal guidance and once you understand the nuances of how to do your workouts, you can carry them regularly at home.
Eat good food do not eat away your body
The key to good health is not to go on a fast and loose weight or eat too much to gain weight. You can find ample information on the web to help you organize your balanced diet. Remember not to ignore the fruits and raw vegetables that enhance the immunity and strength while you are cutting down on your extra calories. Check on the portions you eat. There are many health charts that list the amount of calories a person may require as per their age and the kind of daily routine they have.
One secret I follow as a person is to breed on dry fruits atleast 4 – 5 times in a week. A handful of those nuts can do wonders to your body by giving it the extra dash of energy required and also a zest to your skin and hair. Must include are almonds, apricots, dates, dried figs, walnuts, raisins. Cashews and pistachios should be avoided as they are rich in calories so along with the energy you run the risk of adding up calories too
Stick to eating in small plates. Check your portions. Eat every two hours in a day. Multiple small meals can do wonders to you. Try it… you will come back here to thank me ;)
Water
As the fact goes, 75% of human body constitutes water. Know just the right amount of water needed by your body.
Drinking irrational amounts of water because it’s said water is good for health can again blow you back with health problems. It’s best to drink a little more than the recommended water for your age and weight. Just like how water runs through a river, water helps move the essential nutrients to the various parts of the body and keeps blood circulation apt.
If you think you cannot increase the quantity of water in one go, take it slow increase half to one glass of water each day. Make a chart in such a way; you ensure that by the end of 10th day you are consuming the required amounts of water. May be you can set alarm alerts on your mobile/watch. At the strike of each hour drink a glass of water. DO NOT GULP it. It will leave you feeling worse as your abdomen might feel bloated.
Sleep through for a good health
Did you know that we burn calories even while we are asleep? So come on hit your bed, take a good night’s sleep. A good sleep should last for 7 hours atleast. It not only rejuvenates, but it also helps you pump in fresh energy that will keep your mind alert all day long
Yom yom the fruits instead of drinking juices
Fruits are rich in natural fibre and are loaded with nutrients and essential antioxidants that keep your body sound and shiny. It’s better to chew your fruits rather than churning them in a food processor and drinking it.

Can you hear this?

There is a perfect silence here
despite the hustle bustle that goes around,
i feel a perfect silence here
silence that makes a lot of noise of resentment
that can shake the chords of heart to shiver
i hear a perfect silence here
when one is doomed with defeat and there are loud crying noises
i feel the perfect silence here
At the state of tranquility and remorse
I experience a perfect silence here

"Beauty is truth's smile when you behold your own face in a perfect mirror" - Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore

Beauty and the beast have always been deemed antagonists, but can anyone say that they have never seen a beautiful beast. Beauty is the excellence that comes from making one's values and adhering to it, sans form... sans circumstances. “Standing apart is not beauty...being a part is”. When you merge yourself with a purpose; when u exist as part and parcel of nature u gain beauty. True beauty lies in the in beholder’s eye but where we interpret it as the extraneous beholder, it is the self’s eye that is in the reference. Beauty is enigmatic for the debates it causes in scholastic circles as well as in circles of garrulous time-bidders. It has acquired a dimension and stoutly descended into the digital realm and this definitely is a thing of beauty to enjoy.

One does need a conscience to appreciate beauty in the surroundings, the primarily stems from first feeling beautiful themselves. This consciousness is what is I deem as internal beauty. A simple universal truth hitherto unsaid is “Nature can never be ugly” the corollary of which is “beauty is all pervasive”. Yes we surely need the consciousness to recognize it and when that is recognised, it is appreciated. It would hence be stated that it is one’s level of operative conscience that determines the level of beauty recognition which in turn determines the level of inner beauty.

Let’s get down to brass tacks leaving this higher plane of philosophical indulgence. Where and how does beauty affect our lives? When a thirsty man is served chilled water in a crystal goblet he appreciates the beauty of water and not of the goblet. A noble inculcated with opulence will develop a thirst if served spring water in a rustic utensil. Do we notice the undertones? What we call beauty here is circumstantial and it has a form. This is not the inner beauty we are trying to unearth. A baby who has still not entered the realms of knowledge...does it appreciate beauty? The baby does recognize the warmth of its mother and the appeasement from her feed. This is an innate behaviour and what’s beautiful here is the bonding, not the mother for being motherly or the baby for being cute. The bonding comes from within and though both the mother and the baby will not appreciate it a third eye definitely does. Yes a slightly enlightened eye.

On ground the not so enlightened eye will be enamored by various forms and circumstances that will be termed beautiful. A compelling stroke from an accomplished batter, an accurately detailed sculpture, a color riot on canvas that hits the senses, a blooming field set across a pristine environ, a captivating structural set across a panorama, the vastness of the universe, a healing touch of a dedicated nurse, an invigorating kiss of lover, a perfect crime by a delinquent and a multitude of others.

There are many components to beauty, an alluring damsel, the crimson splash of the eastern dawn, the tender resplendent waves washing ashore gleaming moonlight, a tender hand reaching out to the sky, the idyllic whispering whistle escaping the nimble lips of a seasoned farmer; any of these, all of these are as you perceive built upon layers of stimuli to which our rational responds as beautiful and hopefully to the verses above too. The concept of beauty is therefore a summation of many tiny responses which surpasses a threshold to signify beauty. Beauty is not limited to gender, age, caste, class, It’s more to do with what we are made by our creator. We are all made and crafted beautiful and more important to this is the inner beauty which according to me is what we ought to do, what we ought to be in order to fulfil the sole purpose of us being created.

One needs to be in resonant synergy with these stimuli components and thus be able to take into cognizance their nuances, to value and appreciate beauty.

This appreciation as such is innate in some and can be acquired as a learned skill in others but, the key factor is that one needs to posses this basic knowledge to explore the domain of beauty. I will not condescend into a term real beauty as it has no opposition like artificial, fake or inferior beauty. Thus beauty needs no adjective to qualify it. It just needs an effective perceiver. Let me hasten to caution that the perceiver does not qualify or quantify the object of beauty and merely is a standalone observer. Nothing can be accrued to or weaned away from the beauty.

Real beauty lies within. It is deep rooted in our souls, the values we hold, the thoughts we carry and the deeds we do. Being true to your conscience is beautiful; gratitude towards a helping hand is beautiful. Being true to yourself and fellow humans is yet another ingredient of inner beauty. The body dies, glow fades away but the deeds we do would make a lasting impression on people’s life yet making it possible for us to be remembered. The inner beauty never escapes the discerning eye which never seeks beauty as a reward but beauty as the existing to which purposefulness needs to be attached. Don’t let me into persuading you that either dove or yahoo or I will bring forth your appreciation. It is you who have to do it and you are beautiful because you do it.

Dream Destinations - Bora Bora

Visiting Bora Bora @ French Polynesia (yaaay!!) has become one of the few things in my wish list. The locations seen on the movie “Couples retreat” was an extra topping on this idea which is already sleeping in my mind. An exciting honey moon destination though not many know about it or prefer to go there. My first encounters to know this place was with one of my friend and it happened at the talks of planning for a honey moon.

We spent long hours on researching what would be one of the best spots for a couple to go for their honeymoon, yet another thing in mind was not to choose a place that couples largely prefer to go. Something “hatke” was on our minds. Topping the lists of suggestions from friends were Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai …. “Huh these are just not me”, I thought

Post some Google work and using own brains came up an awesome list of Hawaai, Tahiti, Paris, Jamaica, Vegas, and Africa phew!! the options were getting larger and making things more difficult . Some things that came in handy were tips like -

1. Go by your personality/preference - tropical, city, beach, mountain, safari, desert... This will help narrow down your destination right away.

2.Expenses – travel, accommodation and miscellaneous money you plan to spend there becomes more important factor on deciding your spot

3.Weather - yet important factor when picking your location.

4.Tourist Season - though off season travel might earn you benefits, you could also lose/miss upon the most happening events of the place you are visiting. So choose if you want to go there off season or on peak season (obviously would require advance planning ahead)

5.Activities - narrow down which types of special activities you would like to do while on your honeymoon. For activities such as clubbing, golf, skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking... you need to pick a location that specializes in that activity. This could mean picking the one resort on an island that has a top-notch golf course, but it can also mean switching to a better location.

And last but not the least you want to spend your most valuable time romanticizing with your spouse. So make sure you take special care of how do you plan to make your honeymoon trip the most special for each other.

Hence came up my most favorite two spots Bora Bora and Hawaii. Dreams do come true they say, hoping that so does my wish to go to these places at some point in my life

Well this seems to be a good weekend as I started it by fantasizing and writing about my dream honeymoon destination (blushes!!)
